Stonehouse TodayOne of the longest established art and craft co-operatives in Australia, Stonehouse was founded in 1972 by 8 like-minded potters wanting to promote ceramics.
This year it Celebrates 50 years in Warrandyte, and it continues to thrive with 10 diverse members and many invited artists showcasing and selling beautiful ceramics, textiles, woodwork, glass, jewellery and more in Stonehouse Gallery & Shop in Warrandyte. Stonehouse Gallery is dedicated to the support and promotion of Australian hand made craft and art, whether sculptural, functional or decorative, and it prides itself on being able to provide a rare venue for the showcasing of works by many dedicated local and Australian artists. The bright and airy Gallery & Shop is situated in the stunning historic Gospel Chapel. Visitors are able to speak to member artists every day and there are often opportunities to watch master craftspeople at work. There are changing Exhibitions or Special Features each month to promote new work or up and coming artists and makers.
